THE CUMMINGS GRANT BEGINS!
HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HIRE TWO COORDINATORS
Get ready for more programs for Society members and the town community at the Sanborn House this year! Project Director Nancy Schrock has announced that the Society will hire two new employees as part of its efforts to expand public programming and access to the Sanborn House. These are three-year grant-funded positions, part time, 20 hours/week, working at the Sanborn House.
The mission of the Education Coordinator will be to expand public programming on town history for all members of the Winchester community. The successful candidate will partner with the schools to provide workshops and internships; plan and execute history programs, lectures, walking tours; design and mount exhibits; develop historical content for community event, the Black Horse Bulletin, and other media.
The Community Coordinator will focus on raising the Society’s public profile, deepening relationships with local residents and organizations, and growing membership. This person will be one of the Society’s key outward-facing voices— building visibility through media, social platforms, partnerships and events, and working closely with the Education Coordinator to develop public programming that promotes an appreciation of town history.
Both jobs require a BA and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
