In Memory of Tom Sevigny

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Thomas E. Sevigny, a longtime board member and past president of the Winchester Historical Society.

Tom’s leadership and vision left an enduring mark on the Winchester community including our organization and on the Sanborn House, whose restoration and preservation he championed with extraordinary passion and care. His dedication helped lay the foundation for much of what the Society has achieved in recent decades.

Beyond his remarkable service, Tom will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and genuine love of Winchester’s history and community. He inspired others to give their time and talents generously, and his influence will continue to shape the Society for years to come.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, Elaine, and the entire Sevigny family and friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 29, from 4–7 PM at Costello Funeral Home, followed by a Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 30 at 11 AM at St. Mary’s Church.  (https://www.costellofuneralhome.com/m/Obituaries.html)

In lieu of flowers, donations in Tom’s memory may be made to the Rotary Club of Winchester or the Winchester Historical Society.

Tom’s legacy will live on in every project, program, and moment we spend preserving the history he so dearly loved.
