Winchester: Then and Now

Lincoln School, formerly known as the Winchester High School. It was designed
by the architect Herbert D. Hale and built in 1903. Notice the stately elms
that lined the street, now Mystic Valley Parkway. The photograph is c1920.

The Lincoln School nearing the completion of the renovation, January 2002. The
elms are long gone and have been replaced by birch trees. The mill pond has also
changed. Along Mystic Valley Parkway it has been filled in to provide a path.
