Winchester: Then and Now

Winchester, Mass. Fire Station built in 1913 on Mt. Vernon (Pleasant) St.
The architect was Edward R. Wait. Photograph c1920.
Anyone want to buy a steam driven pumper? Its for sale!

Same view of the Winchester Fire Station, 12/2001. Not much has changed,
only the vents below the middle two windows and new doors. Notice that the
overhead wires are gone and the addition to the Northmark Bank (previously
the Winchester Savings Bank) obscures the Public Safety Building on the left.
