| Free

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Winchester Civics Action Project Showcase

Saturday, May 3rd at McCall Middle School Cafeteria

Reviewers at 1:45 – 2:30 pm – General Public 2:30 – 3:30 pm

We have new details about this first-ever Civics Action Projects Showcase. We expect student participation on May 3rd to be high – particularly from McCall.

Winchester Historical Society members are invited to volunteer as “Reviewers” to be sure all presenters receive valuable feedback.  The Reviewers will arrive early to visit 3-4 presentations in depth to interact with the students who created them and fill out a short evaluation form as feedback to the student team.  This would be before other community residents come in at 2:30 p.m., the general admission time.  The Reviewers should arrive early at 1:45 pm for brief instructions and then talk with students from 2:00 – 2:30. (Note: This Civics Showcase feedback is not part of the grading process.) Of course, Reviewers are welcome to stay longer and visit more presentations.

Please join us to help provide more feedback to participating students & celebrate student civic engagement!  To volunteer and represent the Winchester Historical Society as a reviewer, please provide the name, e-mail and cell phone number to marilynmullane@me.com no later than April 23rd. Please note that we need three to four volunteers to make this work.

Co-sponsored by Winchester Historical Society & Network for Social Justice.
